The working day isn’t only about productivity, it’s about keeping you busy too, so you’ll have no time do to other things (like study, discover that you can fight back capitalism, organize, things like that).

I love this idea.

I even strongly thought that's true for some time.

But it's utterly against the very idea of capitalism. You're in for the profit. Therefore you have to utilize the employee with the maximum of efficiency there is. Keeping someone busy happens only in organisations which are not reliant on profits.

It's a pseudo argument which implodes as soon as you start to take it serious.

And people in hunter-gatherer societies? We would be fucked in the cold areas if we'd have to go back to hunting and gathering. Even with a 18 hours day. That's not an argument. There's not enough food for all people here without agriculture.

Don't be the product, buy the product!
